Teacher Responsibilities
The teacher should establish trust-based bonds and relationships with their child by presenting students with an excellent example and developing values while harboring qualities of gracefulness, courtesy, independence, concentration, and curiosity. This is done by providing an authentic Montessori education with a multi-age classroom, engaging hands-on materials, an emphasis on intrinsic motivation, and development and learning beyond the classroom that prepares children for first grade.
Families as partners
Teachers partner with families to provide the most nurturing environment to help children grow to their fullest potential to pursue lives full of meaning and joy. Since parents are a child’s first teachers, it is crucial to establish trust between family and the Montessori by involving parents in their children’s education in a genuine way. Ultimately, children flourish when their families and schools unite, and we are here to support that.
